... a frame system. By creating, embellishing and adhering these frames to the page, Siebers is able to quickly identify and place photos and die-cuts in a square of corresponding size.

When working with vellum, it can be difficult to hide the adhesive used. Here, Siebers positions her adhesive on the top and bottom of the vellum, where the lantern top and base will hide it.

Don't be afraid to alter your die-cut and embellishments to achieve a look of authenticity. Here, Siebers cuts a slot, then folds back the "flaps" of the tent used on her page.

Paula Siebers shares embellishment ideas that are perfect for camping pages.

    Materials:

    Cactus green cardstock
    Dark brown cardstock
    Kraft cardstock
    Dark orange cardstock
    Dark green cardstock
    Off-white cardstock
    Silver cardstock
    White vellum
    Lettering template / computer fonts
    White cording
    Brown, orange and red chalks
    Dark green eyelets
    Brown marker
    Patterned paper
    Lantern die-cut

    1. Create lantern by tracing die-cut onto vellum. Cut vellum, then cut lantern shape into sections. Create wick and flame (chalk flame with orange and red chalks) and place behind the center vellum.

    2. Trace sleeping bag pattern, then embellish and assemble. Chalk the rolled bag with brown chalk and "tie" with cording.

    3. Continue tracing, embellishing and cutting the tent, fire and marshmallow shapes. Chalk tent with brown chalk; chalk flames with red and orange; and chalks edges of marshmallow with brown.

    4. Mount all pieces on kraft cardstock, then chalk around the kraft pieces with brown chalk.

    5. Mount again on brown cardstock.

    6. Cut letters from dark green cardstock. Mount on kraft colored cardstock, chalk around edges with brown chalk, then mount on dark brown.

    7. Print or write subtitle, and layout all pieces to create a grid with photos.
