Creating a woven ribbon lattice is easy with repositionable tape, a pencil and a ruler. Take a look at this video for the complete how-to!

Love a vintage look? Looking for a way to achieve a look of romance and softness using die-cuts? Designer Anna Griffin demonstrates Victorian-styled die-cuts that will soften the look of any page.

    Materials:

    Victorian-style punch-out die-cuts
    Small Victorian reproduction postcards
    12" x 12" cardstock or paper
    Repositionable tape
    Pencil
    Ruler
    Ribbon
    Photographs
    Small journaling cards and pen

    1. First, punch die-cuts from sleeves (figure A).

    2. Then, draw "x" on board by using ruler and pencil to draw straight diagonal lines from corner to corner (figure B).

    3. Make a small mark at page edge in the center of each large triangle created by drawing the diagonal lines.

    4. Then, use ruler and pencil to draw straight lines to connect the small marks (figure C) and create smaller triangles.(The finished effect should resemble lattice work.)

    5. Use repositionable tape to follow the pencil lines. (Using the repositionable tape will allow the photographs, ribbon and die-cuts to be repositioned as desired.)

    6. Position ribbon on tape lines (figure D) and repeat until all lattice-work is complete and all marks have been covered.

    7. Then, flip board over and secure ends of ribbon to back surface using repositionable tape (figure E).

    8. Check photo placement before sliding underneath the ribbons.

    9. Position photos, journaling cards, Victorian reproduction postcards and die-cuts under the ribbons (figure F).

    10. Press ribbons into place to secure and add a background page in a complementary color.

Tip: Use negative space left from punched die-cuts as journaling templates.
