Linda Cobb, the host of Spruce It Up With the Queen of Clean: Inside the Castle , shares a few more tips on cleaning up clutter. - For kitchen countertop clutter, simply remove all pots, pans, boxes, papers, etc. and designate areas for "useful" items and another area for "decorative" items.
- For the entire house, anything past its prime should be pitched. Don't even think twice about it if you want to eliminate clutter.
- For display items, one suggestion is to thin out family photos and spread them around the house. Don't use just one area -- such as a mantel or piano -- to display photos.
- If you have collectibles, it's best to display them in glass-enclosed cases. This helps to control clutter and protects the valuable items.
