An old toolbox can be turned into a unique planter.

    Materials:

    Old wooden toolbox
    Potting soil
    Plants
    Power drill
    Trowel

    1. Drill drainage holes in the bottom of the toolbox with a power drill (figure A).

    2. Place potting soil in each of the sections of the toolbox (figure B).

    3. Add plants. We used petunias. You could also plant the flowers in individual pots and place the containers in the toolbox (figure C).

    Other Suggestions:

    • Use an old metal house planter, punch holes in the bottom for drainage, and plant flowers inside (figure D).

    • Plant an old chicken feeder (figure E).

    • Place a container of plants in an old toy truck (figure F).

    • Fill an old wooden wagon with pots of flowers (figure G).
