 The scents of the season can be yours to give when you make up a batch of Scented Pine Cones.

Perhaps one of the best things about the holidays are the wonderful aromas emitted by greenery and home-baked goodies. But those aren't the only ways to enjoy seasonal scents and promote feelings of warmth and nostalgia. Aromatherapist Nicola Salter fills the air with the sweet smells of cloves, cinnamon and pine in this demonstration. Oil Burner Materials: Oil burner Water Sweet orange pure essential oil Clove pure essential oil Cinnamon pure essential oil Tea light - Add 5-7 drops of the three chosen essential oils to water in an oil burner.
- Place lighted tea light beneath the oil to warm the oil and release the scent.
Scented Pine Cones Materials: Pine cones Pine or fir pure essential oil Lidded container, box or plastic bag Facial tissue - Fill container, box or plastic bag with dry, clean pine cones.
- Liberally sprinkle tissue with essential oil and add to bag or container.
- Seal the bag or container and allow oil to penetrate cones for several days before removing (the longer the cones are contained, the stronger the fragrance will be).
Holiday Room Spray Plant sprayer 1 cup water Sweet orange pure essential oil Clove pure essential oil Cinnamon pure essential oil Ginger pure essential oil - Add cup of water to plant sprayer.
- Add 6 drops of sweet orange, 1 drop of clove, 1 drop cinnamon and 1 drop of ginger essential oil to water.
- Use as a room spray and as a cleaner for the bathroom sink and taps. Avoid spraying on skin or in eyes.
Sleeptime Spray Materials: Glass atomizer Water Lavender pure essential oil Roman chamomile pure essential oil Geranium essential oil - First, pour cup of water into atomizer.
- Then, add 8 drops of lavendar, 4 drops of Roman chamomile and 2 drops geranium essential oils.
- Seal atomizer and shake well to blend oils and water.
- Mist pillow or spray around bedroom. Avoid using near babies and very small children.
