 Dress up an old trunk for dress-up play!

Kids love playing dress-up and trying on new identities. Its a great way for them to B. Original and keep their creative juices flowing.B. Original host Michele Beschen shows how to give kids a fun focus for their dress-up playand a tidy place to store all their treasureswith this dress-up station built from an old trunk. Dress-Up TrunkMaterials: old trunk plywood or oriented strandboard (OSB) 4 casters (2 with brakes) drill, screwdriver, screws canvas shoe organizers hooks and other hardware
- Place the trunk on end on top of the plywood or OSB and open it. Trace around the bottom of the open trunk.
- Remove the trunk from the board and cut around the outline (figure A). This will be the base of the dress-up station.
- Screw the four casters to the base. Space them evenly and place them near the outer edges of the board to prevent tipping (figure B).
- Turn the trunk on end again, bottom side up, and screw the base directly to the bottom of the trunk.
- Furnish the inside of the trunk with canvas shoe organizers and hooks to store dress-up treasures. Give the exterior a fun coat of paint, and youre ready for playtime.
