    Materials:

    plastic zipper bags
    flannel cloth
    shallow box
    plain white, soft paper towels

    1. Delicate necklaces, such as wire crochet, need to be stored flat and untangled. Flat boxes work well.

    2. Hard, scratchy stones shouldn't be allowed to rub against softer stones.

    3. Pearls and crystals need to be stored in an area with humidity.

    4. Hematite has iron ore and can rust, so it's best kept in a dry area.

    5. Protect strands of beads the same way you would care for finished jewelry.
