RV Doctor House Call #1: Cleaning Behind the Refrigerator

    Materials:

    compressed air

Gary instructs a Red Rock Canyon RVer on keeping the area behind the fridge clean throughout the year. He said to use a can of compressed air to make sure to clean the area of all dust and debris. This will help ensure everything runs smoothly with your fridge.

RV Doctor House Call #2: Slow Draining Sink

Gary helps an RVer whose sink is draining slowly.

    Materials:

    white lithium grease

    1. Remove the anti-siphon trap vent.

    2. Inspect to see if the diaphragm has dried out.

    3. If that is the case apply white lithium grease to re-lubricate it.

    4. Test sink drainage again to make sure that was the problem.

RV Doctor House Call #3: Riding Rig of Black Streaks

    Materials:

one 1/4" PVC pipe (4-6" long)

    Tools:

    standard hand tools

Gary shares a great idea for preventing black streaks on your rig:

    • Using a piece of PVC pipe, cut it in half and extend the drainage pipe on your rig to make sure water is diverted away from your RV.
